Safety, quality, professionalism!
Students in the Truck Driver Training Program develop a working knowledge of commercial vehicle operations, air brake systems, safety practices and DOT rules and regulations. If you want to experience range and road driving and practical application of skills used in highway driving; and work side by side with professionals toward a Class A CDL, then CKTC's Truck Driver Training Program and CDL school is for you! Truck driver training at Caddo Kiowa Technology Center is a high-demand program area. We have an excellent CDL program and our experts can also train you in the areas of bus driver training, forklift driver training, safety training, log training, defensive driver training and load securement.
The trucking industry continues to be a major employer in the United States, with almost 9 million people employed in trucking-related jobs. More than 80% of U.S. cities receive their goods exclusively from trucks.
The trucking industry is facing a driver shortage every day. Entry level drivers are entering a demanding field where there is a premium placed on quality student drivers fresh out of training.
The Caddo Kiowa Technology Center Truck Driver Training program prepares students by giving the skills necessary to become a true professional in the world of transportation. Utilizing one-on-one road time education model, experienced instructors teach the CDL driver skills and procedures that enable the student to become a better, safer driver while preparing for the state road test.
CKTC is committed to highway safety. Our training program is designed to provide an environment that continues to develop safe and successful drivers.
With the Bureau of Labor Statistic reporting only growth in the field and the high earning power, it's no wonder that Truck Driver Training programs consistently operate at capacity. And more times than not, CKTC students pull off the campus with a job waiting for them.
