Electronic Health Records

Medical State Program Area prepares students for careers in electronic health and medical records, medical coding, and healthcare IT systems. Students are prepared to maintain patients’ records using universally recognized coding systems that ensure compliance with federal regulations and insurance requirements including International Classification of Diseases (ICD) and Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) coding principles. The healthcare IT students will implement, deploy, and support healthcare IT systems.
