This course prepares students to apply for the Oklahoma Carry Permit. Must successfully complete course to obtain certificate. Students will identify the meaning of “imminent danger” and “deadly force” and be able identify the circumstances under which they may carry or transport a firearm.
Additionally, students will identify prohibited acts using a firearm. Learn handgun safety within classroom instruction, during dry firing exercises, and during familiarization of fire on the shooting range. Students will live fire 50 rounds.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Mandatory Equipment:
- Handgun (.45 caliber of smaller)
- Eye protection
- Ear protection
- Baseball type cap or hat with brim/bill
- Closed toed shoes
- No low cut/open shirts
- 50 rounds of factory ammunition (NO RELOADS)
