Additional Qualifications: Master Automotive mechanic skills with ASE certifications – preferred. Three years’ experience as Master Automotive Technician or related field. ASE Master Technician certification required within first year of employment.

|Position:||AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE TECHNOLOGY INSTRUCTOR|
|Primary Function:||Continuous School Improvement (CSI) through innovative programming that leads to positive student outcomes. Build and maintain professional working relationships. Provide instruction, curriculum, classroom management, and placement relating to instruction and student outcomes in the automotive service technology field.|
|Responsible to:||Instructional Leader|

|Skillset:||Master Automotive mechanic skills with ASE certifications – preferred;
Three years’ experience as Master Automotive Technician or related field; ASE Master Technician certification required within first year of employment.
|General:||Participate in school wide Continuous School Improvement (CSI) initiatives.|
|Attend all local staff meetings, conferences, and approved professional development training at the local, district, and state levels.|
|Maintain good communications and work cooperatively with all staff to maintain a culture of CSI.|
|Perform various other duties assigned by the supervisor within the physical constraints of the position.|
|Essential:||Design and/or modify curriculum and technology for learning.|
|Review and update all curriculum and technology to maintain alignment with approved ODCTE cluster, pathway, career majors, course syllabi, and pathway matrix duty task list and industry standards.|
|Manage classroom and students using the CKTC board approved Instructional Staff Evaluation and Performance Standards.|
|Serve as advisor for SKILLS USA student organization and maintain active membership.|
|Review program data and performance measures to determine Program Action plan and CSI action initiatives.|
|Articulate curriculum with credible credentials and higher education.|
|Review and update curriculum and technology equipment to maintain alignment with industry standards.|
|Assist students with employment and placement activities and complete follow up report for all students.|
|Coordinate and facilitate work based learning opportunities to include worksite training on campus and at business and industry sites.|
|Facilitate, guide and instruct students concerning attendance, classroom progress, employment opportunities, and school policies/procedures.|
|Organize and facilitate Business Education Council and maintain professional working relationship with business industry.|
|Develop and participate in Individual Professional Development and set leadership goals for CSI to include all aspects of career and technical education.|

10 months / Certified / Annual - Exempt
|Evaluation:||Performance appraisal conducted annually.|
