Qualifications: HS diploma or equivalent; Bachelor degree in accounting or related field –Helpful: professional experience working in accounting, auditing, banking, or a closely related field.  Must be bondable.  Knowledge of school business accounting systems, generally accepted accounting principles, governmental accounting principles, financial statements, reports and financial computer applications.  Must be able to work extended hours and additional days/evenings as required by the position responsibilities.

Additional Qualifications: Experience with Microsoft Office, data entry, bank reconciliation, basic bookkeeping functions and preparation of financial reports.  Ability to define problems, collect data, draw valid conclusions, and interpret technical instructions or federal/state/school law.  Ability to deal with multiple priorities and function professionally during high-stress situations.  Ability to implement, facilitate, and complete multiple projects in a timely and efficient manner.

Position: Activity Fund Custodian
Primary Function: Serve as Activity Fund Custodian, administrative assistant to the Superintendent and assist the financial secretary and encumbrance clerk with routine tasks.

 

Responsible to: Superintendent

 

Minimum Qualifications: HS diploma or equivalent; Bachelor degree in accounting or related field – helpful

Responsibilities:  
General: Continue professional development education in areas pertinent to the position.
  Attend all local staff meetings, conferences, and approved professional development training at the local, district, and state levels.
  Maintain good communications and work cooperatively with all staff to maintain a culture of CSI.
  Perform various other duties assigned by the superintendent within the physical constraints of the position.

 

Essential:

 

 

 

Receipt, deposit, reconcile accounts, code transactions using OCAS, and process Activity Fund disbursements according to policy.

Activity fund custodian for all activity fund accounts – activity fund, Pell/financial aid, and credit card.

Oversee inventory processes and prepare inventory reports for annual district audit.

Monitor or verify certifications of teaching staff to ensure they are current.

Maintain records of insurance policy for property, casualty, auto, educator’s legal and general liability.

Administrative assistant to the Superintendent.

Assume other duties, assignments, and responsibilities as necessary to accomplish the goals of the district.

Evaluation: Performance appraisal conducted annually.
